LADYBUG TABLESCAPE

The weather has been so beautiful, it's the perfect time for a garden table scape and what could be more appropriate then ladybugs...

Since the backyard pillows this year are done in buffalo red checks these dishes were the perfect choice...I have had these dishes in the dish storage in the garage for 2 years they are Hausenware...I actually have a service for 6...I bought them from Ross little by little as they became available...Just couldn't resist the ladybugs...The Summer Breeze sign came from a company recommended by my friend Susan @betweennapsontheporch.net the same sign is on her deck and I simply could not resist.

The glassware is hand painted by Lenox, you will remember from this post  HERE they were from the Goodwill...what a deal...I love a good treasure hunt, I think cause you just never know when you will find something that will just make your heart sing...la la la la I always knew I would be doing a ladybug tablescape...

The dishes are so cool, all of the ladybugs are three dimensional and really pop out from the surface.you can see even on the plates, the greenery is 3-D I thought I would add a couple of ants, you can't have a garden setting without a couple of ants...

The cute little bird cage napkin rings are from Pottery Barn probably 4 years ago, you all know I do love napkin rings that are a little unusual and you all know how much I love Pottery Barn...Although I have not purchased any in quite some time, I have a great collection of some so unusual...
Each birdcage is a little different, I hope I got a shot of each of them, one even has a bird swing inside...

The swing is in the bird cage above, too hard to see but it is cute...
Try not to notice the one place setting with only one fork...I purchased this set last year and this was
the first time it has been used...there was one dinner fork missing...The twig flatware is from West Elm, (they are owned by William Sonoma) I phoned them and let them know the dilemma...the service person, Susan,  said she would send a full place setting right out and I could just keep the additional pieces...sooooooooooooooooo nice....now that's customer service....I think all people named Susan are just really nice...  Anyway the flatware is one of my favorite sets and I love the way the knives lay so the blade stands up on the table....perfect for a garden setting and the ladybug tablescape...

This is the door from the living room, that goes out to the deck, under the gazebo where this table scape takes place...

These little ants are from Michaels, they had little clips on each one to anchor the tablecloth, I just pulled them out, I think they look cuter just hangin around....

The white napkins have a beautiful soft embroidery edge and are from Home Goods...The red checked napkins do have a tablecloth as well are from TF Maxx purchased last year...or maybe even the year before...
This is a better look at the fireplace area you will probably remember from the backyard garden tour HERE you can see how it all coordinates with the red checks on the pillows and artwork...wouldn't it be nice if it always worked out that way...

The Adirondack chairs in the background is where Mr. S and I love to sit in the early evening....

I am so happy the geraniums are still in bloom...they are such happy flowers...

The chargers were originally from Pier 1 and were 15.00 each, however I found them at the Goodwill for 1.00 each...

This would make a wonderful breakfast set up as well, wouldn't love to wake up to the sounds of the birds chirping and the fountains running and a stack of pancakes waiting for you...me too...
Is it time for a swim now....Maybe after lunch...

Thank you so much for stoping in and letting me know what you think....Phyllis

BEAUTIFUL HAWK

Add
Who would think this little beauty would visit my backyard....I am so used to taking pictures of the cute little hummers and finch.....Look at those legs, so impressive....................Such a beautiful hawk in Orange County....

So stylish with the black and white stripped under feathers and the white underskirt....Love the beige and white front of the dress...

Note the way the skirt flairs out at the bottom, such a styler and the long train makes the perfect statement.....flirty but not to much leg...The longer nails are in now and of course the dark polish so vogue....

I think she is trying to show her underskirt ruffles or she is waving bye bye

Posted by PicasaThanks for visiting today,I just thought I would share these wonderful pictures of this beauty with you...I am still healing from a knee injury so this was an easy post for me with no walking....
